Understanding Hero Gear Basics

Hero gear unlocks when you raise your Town Center to level 15. Gear is an essential part of the game as it increases your hero's combat power significantly. It provides your heroes with buffs for attack, defense, and health, as well as Expedition bonuses for squad health or lethality.

Important: Hero Gear is Troop-specific. This means you can only equip Hero Gear that corresponds to your Heroes' Troop Type.

For example, Howard is an Infantry Hero, as indicated by the blue shield icon, and thus can only wear Hero Gear designed for Infantry Heroes, which is indicated by a shield icon on the gear.

Gear Rarities and Quality Levels

Gear comes in different rarities, denoted by the color surrounding them:

• Uncommon / Grey
• Rare / Green
• Epic / Blue
• Legendary / Purple
• Mythic / Gold

Depending on the rarity, the amount of stats given to the Hero is decided. You will get access to the higher rarity gear as you progress in the conquest mode and participate in events. Keep in mind, Gold rarity gear is only available via the Arena store or by making in-game transactions.

Gear is further divided into 5 different types of pieces:

• Helmets: Provides bonuses to your Heroes' attack and health, as well as a Lethality Expedition enhancement for that Hero's troop type.
• Gloves: Provide your Heroes with Hero Defense and Health boosts, as well as a Health Expedition boost for their Troop type.
• Belts: Provide your Heroes with Hero Defense and Health bonuses, as well as a Health Expedition boost for their Troop type.
• Boots: Provide your Heroes with Hero Attack and Health boosts, as well as a Lethality Expedition enhancement for their Troop type.
• Exclusive: Exclusive gear provides your SSR heroes with Hero Attack, Defense and Health Boosts, as well as Health and Lethality Expedition enhancement for their troop type. Additionally, Exclusive gear provides heroes with Exclusive Skills.

Gear Enhancement System

Gear, much like heroes, can also be enhanced to provide more potent effects and stats. Enhancing Hero Gear improves the buffs, both Hero and Expedition, for that particular piece of gear.

To improve Hero Gear, you can utilize:

• A mix of the two

Enhancement Points by Gear Quality:

• Grey gear: 10 points
• Green gear: 30 points
• Blue gear: 60 points
• Purple gear: 150 points

The Best Way to Upgrade Your Gear

Step 1: Pick Your Main Three Hero Types Choose one archer, one infantry, and one cavalry hero as your core team.

Before upgrading anything, decide on your main three heroes — these are the 3 core heroes you use most in battle.

Important Rally Rule

Hero Gear only activates when you're the rally leader. If you join someone else's rally, your gear stats don't apply. If you lead the rally, then your gear stats matter a lot.

✨ Strategy for Hero Gear ✨

Focus on upgrading gear only for your main 3 heroes — the ones you use to lead attacks and solo events.

Overall, you'll need these three gear sets:

• 1 Infantry set: Focus on health stats (armor & gloves)
• 1 Archer set: Focus on lethality stats (helmet & boots)
• 1 Cavalry set: Focus on lethality stats (helmet & boots)

Two main strategies are used when equipping gear on the 3 lead heroes:

1. Only equipping the 2 pieces gear that focus on preferred stats.

   • Example: only equipping Helmet and Boots on Jabel.

2. Staggering levels of the secondary stat equipment and upgrading the preferred stat equipment first.

   • Example: On Jabel, leveling Helmet and Boots to level 70, and leveling armor and gloves to level 60.

Pro Tip: Reset/strip gear from all non-core heroes if equipped, and merge their gear into your main march gear.

How to Get Forgehammers

• Shops: You can buy them from various shops, like the Mystery, Arena, VIP, and Swordland Shops, by trading in tokens and badges you've earned.
• Events: Look for events like Bear Hunt and Alliance Mobilization. These are great ways to earn Forgehammers as rewards, especially when you work with your alliance.
• Paid options: You can buy them directly through various in-game offers.

Essentially, by participating in events and keeping an eye on the different shops, you'll be able to gather Forgehammers to power up your heroes.

How to Use Forgehammers for Mastery Forging

1. Navigate to the "Heroes" tab.
2. Select the hero you wish to equip with the enhanced Mythic gear. Prioritizing SSR heroes is generally recommended for optimal results.
3. Choose the "Gear" option.
4. Equip the Mythic gear you wish to upgrade.
5. Select the equipped Mythic gear and tap on "Enhance".
6. Upon reaching level 20, a new option, "Mastery Forging," will appear beneath the gear. Tap on it to proceed.

Save Forgehammers for Events

• Sometimes events will require you to use your Forgehammers to complete tasks. Hold on to some of your hammers so you can participate in these events and earn valuable rewards, including more Forgehammers.
